If you are looking for a couple of concerts or club nights to let you let loose and take advantage of a couple of days off, then here is my top pick of events happening in Glasgow this week:
17/11/2014 – New Found Glory @ O2 ABC – The American Rock Band come back to Glasgow showcasing their new album ‘Resurrection’ but it will be more a reminiscing night for some taking them back to childhood favourites “Kiss Me” live.
18/11/2014 – Jack White @ SSE Hydro – Now a legend in the industry, Jack White will showcase his unbelievable talent and addictive riffs in Scotlands newest Arena venue.
19/11/2014 – Pere Ubu @ CCA Glasgow – After seeing them at Mono last year, this is a show that will surprise and impress you. With David Thomas the sole surviving member showing they are just as experimental and their sound never got old.
20/11/2014 – The Drums @ Glasgow School of Art – The Drums play their first show in Glasgow for two years and will be bringing new and old material.
21/11/2014 – Gaiser @ Subclub – Sensu continue celebrating their 10th birthday by welcoming Gaiser, a techno dj that is part of Richie Hawtins collective.
22/11/2014 – Pleasurekraft @ St Judes – The funky, deep techno duo from the continent bring a cracking 3 hour set to the tiny basement club.
23/11/2014 – The Jesus and Mary Chain @ Barrowlands – The second and final night at the Barrowlands to hear The Jesus and Mary Chain play through legendary album “Psychocandy”.
In a city with so much to offer, some of these were difficult choices but I hope it helps in the search for fulfilment.
what a tune
